This tour can be organized to begin either from Colombo or the Southern Coast

Locations covered :

Visit a Tea Field & Factory in the township of Nuwara Eliya or ‘Little England‘ to see how an invigorating beverage is created using traditional methods of precise plucking, fermenting, cutting, sorting & drying to make the finest pekoe and taste a cup of fresh fragrant tea made from the day’s pluck.

Ramboda Falls  –  Yet another scenic & misty waterfall formed out of the precipitation absorbed by the mighty hills higher up on the top parts of the Central Hills in the Kirigalpoththa, Thotupola, Wangedigala (Volcano Crater Rock), Ohiya & Horton Plains regions.

Lake Gregory  –  A picturesque lake surrounded by the mountain ranges of Pidurutalagala, Single Tree Hills & Mahagastota ranges in the Nuwara Eliya & vicinity.    Landscaped by the British Colonials to be not only beautiful but also to store & water the numerous Parks, Race Course and Golf Course and the Fruit, Vegetable & cash crop cultivation of the Hill Country.

Victoria Park  –  A Flowery park immaculately landscaped to attract the kids & families to play & admire the nature of distinct vegetation of the higher altitudes in order to carry memories of the intricate nature of the flowers, plants, pine, acacia, turpentine, eucalyptus & numerous other evergreens which grow wild in the Central Hills

Seetha Amman Hindu Temple  –  A Hindu Temple to commemorate the deities of the Ramayana, where it is believed that Sita the queen of Rama was exiled by Ravana the King of Lanka where the test of fire was conducted to determine the faith of Sita as an example for the subjects to learn desirable morals of life.

Edwardian Post Office   –  Medieval Brick Architecture of the British has been recreated in the heart of the township of Nuwara Eliya, where the pioneering forms of communication, the telegraph & telex message transfers were conducted, as they were discovered in the western countries to add to the original mail of letters between societies which took place back in the olden days
